Hi, I received my order. I am now ordering an order for each of my sisters as
Christmas gifts. This whole idea is really great and I used the marinade on
my steaks. All I can say is WOW. I live in Brooklyn, NY. Are there any
merchants selling the chitlin sauce or the marinade in this borough or Manhattan?

Hi Shauna,
I was looking for chitlin recipes and came across you web site. I ordered two buckets of chitlins and 2 bottles of seasoning on Tuesday, they arrived on Thursday (I live in Bryantown, MD) and my family and I just got finished eating them. THEY WERE DA BOMB! You have taken the work out of preparing a dish that African Americans love, but can only have once or twice a year due to the time it takes to prepare them.
Anyway, I own a business --Wings On The Go--it's a mobile vending unit that I work part time (I'm a full time employee at the Department of Education, Downtown and hope to be in your shoes one day soon), I ordered the chitlins because I will start preparing soul food dinners for the community twice a month starting next month. I will definitely be using your product. THANKS AGAIN, and keep up the good work.
PS. Those chitlins were some kinda clean.

From a satisfied customer JG for Aunt LU |
|
"After reading the article that appeared in the Washington Post, my 90 year old Aunt suggested we try your product. After purchasing 2 dinners and a bucket I headed for home so the original chitlins critic could render her decision. She took such care in warming them, making sure to utilize the right temperature. I realize then that the warming process was her way of determining quality and freshness. Once the chitlins were served I was reminded it was not polite to interrupt your elders once they start eating. Half- way thru the meal she strongly suggested that we visit your establishment again and that I write you to say THANK-YOU and please keep delivering the same quality product that we experienced today." |
The Wall Street Journal
"One business whose sole reason for being is to bring fresh chitlins to the people"
The Washington Post
"In such great demand" Blessings...among 15 area products that head the list"
The Washington Post Magazine
"Since Anderson began she has sold over 100 tons of chitlins"

Jet Magazine May 12, 2003 says:
"At last, Smithsonian Institution has recognized chitterlings,
once a significant staple in African-American cuisine, as a national delicacy. An upcoming exhibition will feature Shauna Anderson, CEO of the The Chitlin Market, highlighting the preparation of the dish which started during the slavery era." |
